Strong opening statement for U14 Whalers.

FOXBORO – The Boston Lady Whalers U14 announced their presence with authority on Friday at the Foxboro Sports Center. They laid a 12-0 hammering on Top Speed Hockey in their first game of the 2024 Women’s Chowder Cup.

It was on from the start as the Lady Whalers hopped up with four goals in the first. A lead that grew to 6-0 after the second and then doubled to 12-0 by the game’s final buzzer.

Eight different Whalers were credited with a goal in the contest. Credited with three tallies in the contest, Alexa Buco was the game’s leading goal scorer, while Sophie Um and Ava Carr were both each credited with a pair. Sophia Locklear (1G, 2A) and Loren Tsediakov (3A) joined Buco (3G) and Um (2G, 1A) with a game-high three points.

Marie Lee was credited with backstopping the shutout for the Whalers.
