FOXBORO – A second half offensive onslaught fueled a 6-2 victory for CWE Red over Coaches Choice in Jr. A Elite divisional play on Friday’s opening day of play at the 2023 Pre-Draft Showcase.
While the game’s score ended with some separation, it was an even first half as CWE and Coaches Choice played to a 2-2 draw through the first 25 minutes. Nicco Marraccini and Tommy LaVigne did the scoring for Coaches Choice, while Braycen Dube and Hayden Stocks put CWE on the board.
The game had a much different flavor when the teams returned to the ice for the second half as CWE took an unrelenting stranglehold on things. Stocks added another tally – this one on the power play – while Zion Lavoie, Joe Weber and Brogan Shea each had a goal to solidify the 6-2 victory.
Stocks added two assists to his two goals for a game-high four points. Goaltender Sam Edmands was credited with the victory.
