ATTLEBORO – Pure Hockey made its first win at the 35th annual Pre Draft Showcase a good one as they doubled up on Snipers Choice 6-3 in a Jr. A division contest Saturday at the New England Sports Village.
The torrid offensive affair got going early as eight of the game’s nine goals came in the opening half. The Snipers struck thrice, while the Pure Hockey offense opened with five for a 5-3 advantage at the break.
It was enough, but Pure Hockey’s Olli Nyfors contributed his second of the contest as the game’s lone second half score to round out the 6-3 final.
Nyfors (2G) was joined by teammate Max Larkin (1G, 1A) in contributing multiple points to lead the Pure Hockey offense.
Danny Downey led the Snipers offense with a goal and an assist.
