Punisher Hockey Young Guns live up to their name in Braintree.

Pre Draft Showcase started back in 1989. It our 35 year anniversary this year.

BRAINTREE – Punisher Hockey Young Guns made it a perfect 2-0-0 start to their College Open play at the 35th annual Pre Draft Showcase on Saturday. They defeated OPP 9-3 at the Thayer Sports Center.

They were on their opposition from the start as Punisher put away three in the game’s opening half. Logan Brennan, Massimo Monteleone and Kasen Beitz each credited with a first half, Young Guns goal.

While OPP scored three of their own in the second half, getting a pair of goals from Aiden Pournaras and one from Aiden Fleming, the Young Guns kept firing away. Six goals were to be had from the relentless Punisher attack in the latter frame to hammer out the 9-3 victory.

Beitz added another three in the second to finish with a game-high four goals, and tied with teammate Ezra Zizmor (1G, 3A) with a game-high four points.
