FOXBORO – The OG Selects can count themselves amongst the number of teams that got their stay at the 2024 Women’s Chowder Cup off to a strong start. They opened their U19 division slate with an 11-0 blanking of the Boston Ice Dogs on Friday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.
OG owned the contest from the start. Their torrid scoring pace saw them put away four goals in the first. It was a pace that did not slow down until the third as the netted another four in the second, before capping things off with three in the third.
The offensive onslaught saw seven Selects credited with multiple points in the contest. Kylie Nolan (3G), Eryka DeRocha (2G, 1A), Makenna Crouse (1G, 2A) and Izzy Bourgeut (3A) each had three, while Sarah Hensel (2G), Bella Jayme (2A) and Bailey MacKeller (2A) each had two.
Carolyn Bourgeault backstopped the stout OG defense, posting the shutout in the Selects net.
