Reider slips past Power Play for 3-2, ’08 win.

CANTON – The Reider Hockey ’08 squad made for a dramatic start to their campaign at the 2021 NE Pro-Am Mini Chowder Cup as the rallied for a 3-2 win on Friday morning at the Canton Ice House.

It was a 1-1 draw after one as the special teams did the scoring in the game’s first half. A power play goal by JT Borland for Power Play Hockey and a shorty by Reider’s Carson Abel sent the game back to the locker room tied at a score apiece.

Power Play came storming out of the break with an early goal at 1:12 of the second by Brady Stallkamp to take a 2-1 lead. Reider, however, was still in the game, notching goals from Tyler Byrne (7:23) and Grant Christianson (9:12) to put their squad on top for the duration of the contest.
