FOXBORO – NorthStar Elite started their 2023 Chowder Cup campaign with a come-from-behind win on Thursday as they defeated Team Real Speed 5-4 at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Trailing 2-1 after the first half, the NorthStar offense came alive for four in the second to rally past Real Speed.
Real Speed did not make it easy, netting two of their own in the second – the second of the game from Kyle Smyrnios and one from Colby Jade – but a late goal from William Shaeffer solidified the win for NorthStar.
Cameron Fiasconaro led the NorthStar offense with two goals, while Smyrnios led the game in scoring with a three-point showing (2G, 1A).
Chase Anderson was credited with the win in the NorthStar net.
