Northeastern Selects top Eurostar, 5-3.

FOXBORO – With the opening day of play at the 2023 Chowder Cup drawing to a close, the Northeastern Selects posted their first win of the tourney. They put up a 5-3 Jr. A victory against Eurostar Hockey at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The first half of the game started and ended with the teams tied as both sides put away two in the frame. Jacob Hall and Aleksander Surovov did the scoring for Northeastern. Devon Savignac and Jameson Flint credited with first half goals for Eurostar.

Savignac was back on the board in the second with his second of the contest, but it was all the scoring Eurostar saw in the game’s latter frame.

While Eurostar’s scoring went cold, Northeastern’s picked up. The eventual victors bettered their goal total from the first half with three more scores in the second. Surovov had another, while Teagan Pratt had a pair to round out the 5-3 final.

With two goals and an assist, Pratt finished as the game’s leading scorer. Netminder Charles-Edward Gravel was credited with the win in the Northeastern net.
