On March 29, former New England Pro Am alum Rob O’Gara signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins.
The 22-year old defensemen completed a four-year career at Yale University this spring, his finest year coming in 2014-2015, where O’Gara recorded a career-high 21 points (6G, 21A) and a +15 rating for the Bulldogs. Following the signing, O’Gara was assigned to Providdence of the American Hockey League, recording one goal in five games to close out the regular season.
The 2011 fifth round NHL Draft choice participated in the 2011 Midget Fall Classic, playing for Coach Pat Bohan and his Junior Bruins.
