CANTON – After a strong opening showing on Thursday, the Ottawa Icemen kept their assault on the College Open standings at the 2023 Chowder Cup going on Friday morning. They defeated the Long Beach Sharks 8-1 at the Canton Ice House.
Ottawa went for four aside as they ran away with their victory over Long Beach. Jack Knox, Ethan Smith, Cole Robitaille and Ethan McLean each credited with a goal in the first half. Robitaille, Ben Neil, Maverick Jack and Jason Ward with the goals in the second for the Icemen.
Goaltender Rowan Correia posted his second win of the tournament for Ottawa.
Chris Brennis was credited with the lone goal for Long Beach.
