Roc City opens Day 2 with 4-3 victory.

BRAINTREE – The second day of pool play is underway at the 2023 Chowder Cup. In the first slotted game of the day, it was the Roc City Elite Young Guns posting a 4-3 victory over Fish Tanks in College Open play at Thayer Sports Center.

It was an early start to the game and an early start for both offenses as all of the game’s scoring came in the opening frame of the contest. Roc City and Fish Tank traded chances back-and-forth throughout until a pair of late goals put Roc City ahead 4-3 heading into the intermission.

Nick Leleu netted a pair for Fish Tanks, while Matthew Anderson accounted for their third.

TJ Martin had a pair to lead the Roc City offense, while Andrew Gillis and Shane Bradley each had a goal of their own to round out the victors’ four.

After the torrid offense of the first, netminder Anthony Amato locked down the Roc City net in the second for his second win in two games at the 2023 Chowder Cup.
