Even 3-3 draw for Navan, Jr. Whalers.

FOXBORO – It was a game of inverses on Friday morning in Foxboro that ultimately resulted in a 3-3 Jr. A draw between Navan Grads Hockey and the Boston Jr. Whalers. Each side winning one of the game’s halves.

The first half belonged to the Jr. Whalers, who came away from the opening frame with a 2-1 advantage. Sean Gibbons and Tyson Carr did the scoring for Boston, Kyle Slingerland for Navan.

Out of the intermission, the game swung the other direction and it was Navan’s turn to take the half.

A power play goal by Thierry Laroche for Navan brought them back to even at 2-2. The Whalers broke that tie with a power play goal of their own by Bryce Boughen. Mavrik Chan-Miguel closed out the game’s scoring late in the second and brought Navan back to even once more, rounding out the score at its 3-3 final.
