Flames blank Wizards U16, 5-nil.

FOXBORO – After a loss in their first game, the Vermont Flames turned their stint at the 2018 Midget Fall Classic around in their second. They posted a 5-0 shutout victory over the Wonderland Wizards on Sunday at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The Flames started early in the first half, a power play goal from Harrison Wheeler at 5:56 kicking things off. That 1-0 lead grew to 2-0 before half’s end, Matthew Dubois scoring at 16:21.

As good as their offense was in the first, it was better in the second as the Flames bettered their goal total by one. The netted three to solidify the 5-0 victory. Dubois again, Andrew Duany and Martin Rudolf scoring in the frame.

Dubois (2G) and Duany (1G, 1A) led all scorers in the contest with two points apiece. Kyle May and Sawyer Goodwin split the shutout duties in the Flames net.
