FOXBORO – East Coast Kings White solidified their first win of the 2021 Pre-Draft Showcase on Saturday morning as they defeated Tropics White 5-4 in Jr. A Division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.
The teams went back-and-forth in the first as a pair of Kings goals – one each from Cade Baker and Bobby Barrasso – sandwiched a score from Tropics forward Bryce Howard top leave East Coast with a 2-1 lead at the intermission.
That slim one-goal margin to start the second half was there are the game’s end as each side scored three in the latter frame. Barrasso (2G) and Michael Rocco (1G, 1A) led the way for the Kings, each with a pair of points, while Howard paced the Tropics offense with a pair of goals of his own.
Hunter Thomas and JJ Cataldo split the netminding duties and the win for the Kings.
