FOXBORO – The GBL Bruins notched a win just after noon on Saturday as they defeated Team North America 5-2 at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Wyatt George did score a late goal for Team North America to stem the tide, but that was not before the Bruins stakes themselves a healthy lead throughout the first half. A pair of goals from Alex Ondos and one each from Tommy Rooney and Carson James put GBL up 4-1 at the break.
There was still action to be had in the second, but most of it came in the first. Each side scored one more in the latter half – George again for North America and Jack Alecia for the Bruins – to bring the score to its 5-2 final.
