ATTLEBORO – DevCo Hockey made the most of their ’07 division start to the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup. They took to the ice at the New England Sports Village on Thursday evening and shutout Prospects Hockey 5-0.
Much of the first half was played scoreless. It was not until there were about five minutes remaining in the frame that the scoring seal was broken when Matthew Scoozzese put DevCo on the board. That 1-0 lead doubled to 2-0 with just under two minutes remaining when Tate Collins increased the advantage.
Though the 2-0 advantage would have been enough with Jonathan Georgiano thwarting every bid that came his direction in the DevCo net, they poured in an additional three to solidify the win. Jaiden Newton, Rocco Ralvi and Carmie Paulo the second half goal scorers.
