Young Athletes Killer Bees Withstand Late Rally to Defeat OPP 2012, 4-3

Walpole, Mass. — Young Athletes Killer Bees weathered a late push from OPP 2012 and came away with a 4-3 victory on Saturday afternoon.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

Young Athletes Killer Bees struck first at 4:26 of the opening period when Luke Simpson (#11) put his team on the board.

OPP 2012 answered at 11:43 as Declan Hart (#45) buried the equalizer to make it 1-1.

Young Athletes Killer Bees reclaimed the lead before intermission. At 15:17, Lincoln Risto (#12) finished a play set up by Carter Stevens (#27), giving his team a 2-1 advantage heading into the break.

The second period featured plenty of offense. Just 4:54 in, Ben Eramian (#4) extended the lead to 3-1 off an assist from Jackson Steele (#98).

Young Athletes Killer Bees pushed the margin to three goals at 10:05 when Jack Chunick (#72) found the back of the net, making it 4-1.

OPP 2012 refused to go away. Liam Hollis (#42) cut the deficit to two at 14:37 with assists from Chance Powers (#3) and Noah Guerrette (#21).

With 2:51 remaining, Guerrette (#21) scored to bring OPP 2012 within one, but Young Athletes Killer Bees held firm over the closing minutes to secure the 4-3 win.
