Women’s Chowder Cup returns in June.

Winter hockey season is over and spring has sprung, which means summer is right around the corner. And when the summer months begin, so does New England Pro-Am Hockey’s Chowder Cup season.

First on the Chowder Cup docket is the Women’s Chowder Cup, which returns to the ice June 6-8, with teams playing at the U14 Future Prospects (players born 2011 or younger), U16 Prep Prospects (players born 2009 or younger) and U19 College Prospects (players born 2006 or younger) age division.

The Women’s Chowder Cup will once again play host to some of the top programs in women’s hockey. Mike Cusack’s Boston Jr. Whalers, who have won championships in each Women’s Chowder Cup since its return in 2022, return to defend titles at the U14 and U16 divisions. Ray Monroe’s WC Swans program – winners of the College Prospects division in 2022 and U19 division in 2023 – will also be back, as will be Jessica Jacques’ TeamONE, who were the 2023 U16 champions.

Greg Dumais, head girls varsity coach at Hebron Academy, will bring his Spring Lumberjills squad to join the fray at the U16 division in 2025, highlighting the crop of newcomers in this year’s tournament.

Teams interested in participating in the 2025 Women’s Chowder Cup can contact Mike O’Connell (michaeljoconnell@comcast.net)about registration.
