Over its 40-plus years, New England Pro-Am Hockey has been a steppingstone for countless players en route to the highest levels of hockey. Jack Eichel, Ryan Johansen and William Karlsson to name a few.
Year after year, NEPAHL’s Chowder Cup and Pre-Draft Showcase are attended by a number of scouts from hockey’s upper echelon. At last year’s Pre-Draft Showcase alone there were scouts from three NHL teams – Edmonton, Ottawa and Vancouver – and Central Scouting. There were also a number of scouts from top college programs – like Providence College – as well as top junior programs from both the US and Canada. Amongst them the OHL’s Windsor Spitfires and the USHL’s 2025 Eastern Conference regular season top team, the Youngstown Phantoms.
