Providence doubles up Terriers Red, 4-2.

FOXBORO – Providence Hockey Club’s U16 squad opened their stay at the 2018 Midget Fall Classic on Saturday at the Foxboro Sports Center with a 4-2 victory over the Boston Jr. Terriers (Red).

Boston had the game’s first lead courtesy of Tom Casey goal at 10:51, but Providence was on top by the half’s end with goals from Reid Martin and Aidan Baynes at 18:48 and 21:42, respectively.

The lead was extended to 3-1 on a goal by Cullen Larrabee at 8:09 of the second. Matthew Gill brought the Terriers’ deficit back to one with a goal just over a minute later, but there was no comeback to be had. Adian Diggin solidified the 4-2 victory with a goal at 19:33.

Providence’s Luke Sylvia led all scorers in the contest, credited with a pair of assists. John Kerney solidified the win in net.
