ATTLEBORO – After dropping their first game at New England Pro Am Hockey’s 2019 Pre-Draft Showcase, Pine Creek rallied in their second contest to double up Roc City Elite Futures 4-2 on Friday at New England Sports Village.
The two sides traded shots in the first half. Pine Creek taking the lead, Roc City answering back and then Pine Creek going back in front before the conclusion of the opening 25-minutes.
A shorthanded score by Jacob Stevenson early in the second half brought Roc City back to even at 2-2, but they could not overtake their foe. Pine Creek dropped in a pair more in the closing minutes to finalize their 4-2 victory. Sam Kleinsmith and Alexander Brooks coming through with the scores.
Brooks (1G, 1A) netted a pair of points to lead the contest in scoring, while Eric Buchholz was credited with the win in the Pin Creek net.
