NEPAHL and Canada West alums record 1st NHL goals.

On December 5, 2015, New England Pro Am alum Daniel Carr, who played for Lou Gravel’s Team Canada West at the 2009 Pre-Draft Showcase, recorded his first NHL goal. Carr’s score came on his first shot in his NHL debut while playing for the Montreal Canadiens. Carr’s current teammate, netminder Mike Condon, who formerly played in the Pre-Draft Showcase as a member of Justin Stanlick’s Wildcats Elite, was also featured in the December 5 contest against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Another NEPAHL and Canada West alum was also recently credited with their first NHL goal. Dennis Rasmussen, who played with Canada West at the 2008 Pre-Draft Showcase, scored in his first game as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks on December 13. The centerman’s first period score leading off an eventual 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators.
