FOXBORO – The final New England Pro-Am Hockey tournament of the year got underway on Saturday morning. The Boston Huskies and Bay State Breakers opening the holiday weekend tourney with a 4-4 draw at Foxboro Sports Center.
The tale of two halves opened with the Huskies off to a strong start. They did initially fall behind 1-0 on a goal by Bay State’s Cam Carahar at 7:48, but rallied off three straight by the half’s end to take a 3-1 advantage into the locker room. Huskies’ first half goals scored by Andrew Demerchant, Carson Priante and Dylan Wong.
Bay State went to work quickly out of the break, getting scores from Jake Fleet (1:17) and Connor Hulett (6:13) to draw the game back to even. It was a 3-3 tie that lasted all of 26-seconds, however, as John Nolte quickly had the Huskies back on top, 4-3.
To fully reverse the script from the first half, there was still one goal left to be scored for the Breakers. Centerman Nick Solari coming through with the goal at 14:19 of the second half to bring the score to its 4-4 final resting place.
