Jr. Blues edge out Pinnacle 4-3.

ATTLEBORO – In their first game of the 2023 Chowder Cup, the Boston Jr. Blues scored the Elite division win as they just got past Pinnacle Hockey for a 4-3 win Friday afternoon at New England Sports Village.

Most of the game’s scoring action took place in its latter stages as each side hung just one goal on the board in the first. Boston’s Jake Owens and Pinnacle’s Emerson Marshall were each credited with a score to send the game to the half tied at 1-1.

Even as the scoring picked up in the second, the game remained close throughout. The two sides went back-and-forth throughout the concluding half. Neither side was able to get any sort of decided advantage until time wore out and the Jr. Blues were ahead by the 4-3 final.

A quartet of Blues ended the contest with multiple points to their credit. Owen (2G), Alex Kenerson (1G, 1A), Dane Carter (1G, 1A) and James Mackey (2A) all had a pair of entries on the scoresheet for JDM.

Marshall (1G, 1A) and Ryan Flaherty (2A) led the Pinnacle offense, each with two points.
