FOXBORO – Day 3 of the 2025 Sr. Chowder Cup at the Foxboro Sports Center kicked off Saturday with a Jr. A match-up between C2C River Rush and the US Express. C2C winning a tight one, 4-3.
The first half was a see-saw battle. C2C jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Lynden Donald-Gormans and Jackson Heinzelman (power play). The Express responded with a two-goal swing of their own. A pair of goals from Logan Niesen tying the game 2-2 at the break.
C2C reclaimed their lead at the onset of the second half on a goal from Kade Lawlor. Once again, the Express responded. Owen Khuong tying things at 3-3 near the middle of the frame.
While the Express continued to respond in kind, they could never get past C2C on the scoresheet. Just a few minutes after Khuong’s score, Lawlor netted his second of the frame, a power play goal that went down as the 4-3 game winner.
