ATTLEBORO – Boston Hockey Club opened the second day in 2023 Mini Chowder Cup play at the New England Sports Village by winning a Battle of Boston. They defeated the Boston Jr. Blues 5-0 in 2009 division play.
Hockey Club got right after the Jr. Blues, staking themselves a 3-0 advantage through the game’s first half. Ethan Guo, Blake Knowles and Jack Sullivan credited for the three Hockey Club goals.
The first half would have been enough, but Hockey Club poured another pair onto their total to solidify the win at 5-0. A second for Knowles and a goal by Adam Boys accounting for the second half scoring.
Knowles (2G) and Boys (1G, 1A) led the game in scoring as its only multipoint scores.
Sawyer King was credited with his second win and second shutout of the tournament in the Boston Hockey Club net.
