Spark late in the first ignites Aurora in 5-0 win.

FOXBORO – The Aurora Tigers started off their slate of games at the 2015 Midget Fall Classic with an impressive win, hanging a 5-0 shutout on the Bay State Breakers Saturday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The score sheet was barren for much of the game’s first half, but in the blink of an eye late in the frame, things exploded in favor of the Tigers. Thomas Kostoff’s score at 22:23 sparked a run that saw Aurora build a 3-0 lead in the final 2:37 of the opening 25-minutes. Kyle Rice and Sam Speranini also scoring during that time.

Scoring was more spread out in the second half as the Tigers went on to nearly double their total, while continuing to hold their opponent’s offense at bay. Brendin Ramsay and Jared Reeves each netting one to round out the 5-0 final.

Aurora forward Tyler Williams ended the contest as its leading scorer, posting three assists in the victory. The Tigers also received multiple point efforts from Speranini and Ramsay, both credited with a goal and an assist.
