FOXBORO – It was threes aside for the Jr. T-Birds and Roc City Elite ’09 when the two sides met up on Saturday at the Foxboro Sports Center. The 2023 Mini Chowder Cup opening round game coming to a close with a final score of 3-3.
Most of the game’s scoring came in the opening half. The two sides combined to score five of the game’s six goals, resulting in a 3-2 Roc City lead at the intermission. A pair for Jameson Fisher and one for Nolan Schooley accounted for the Roc City scoring, while Grey Altemeyer and Ethan Samek were each credited with a first half goal for the T-Birds.
Tanner Kmetz’s second half goal brough the T-Birds back to even and the score to its 3-3 final.
