FOXBORO – It was a strong start to the 2019 Sr. Chowder Cup for Roc City Elite. They hung an 8-1 route on CHE White on Thursday in their first game of preliminary round play.
Alex Laferriere, Jake Dunlap, Laferriere again and Patrick Brady accounted for four Roc City goals in the opening half as they assumed a commanding lead over their foe. Steffan Schilkie did net one for CHE in the first as the score went to the break at 4-1.
Returning to the ice, Roc City matched their offensive effort with another four scores in the second half to complete their assault. Laferriere led the charge with a three-point showing; two goals and an assist. Dunlap also had a pair of scores in the contest, while David Battisti was credited with the win in net for Roc City.
