Roc City Elite gets the final win of Opening Day.

CANTON – In the final slated game of the first day of the 2019 Bob Crocker Jr. Chowder Cup, Roc City Elite Red ran through North Star Elite Hockey for an 8-2 victory at the Canton Ice House.

The game was played with symmetrical 4-1 halves. Two sets of two goals by Roc City sandwiched a score by North Star’s Cristo Walker that came at 11:12 for the opening set’s goals. In the second half, it was a three spot for Roc City before Walker was back on the board with his second of the game at 18:06.

Connor Pelc capped off the 8-2 final for Roc City at 23:50.

In total, seven different skaters for the victors put goals on the scoreboard. Ashton Curtin was the one responsible for two strikes for Roc City, though it was Jacob Kraft who was the game’s leading scorer with a goal and two assists.

Nicholas Anderson was credited with the win in net.
