Protec explodes in second for the victory.

ATTLEBORO – The Protec Jr. Ducks were sparked by a second half offensive explosion to open their stay at the 2021 Jr. Chowder Cup with a win. They defeated SFHS Hockey 7-4 on Thursday evening at the New England Sports Village.

The game was even through one, both sides coming away with a pair. Anthony Jacobs and Ben Meyer for the Ducks and Drew Amhed for Neil Downey for SFHS to make it 2-2 at the halftime intermission.

Out of the break, Protec got it going right away. Michael Good scored in the first minute of the second. It was the first of five in the half for Protec, where SFHS put up another two, setting the game at its 7-4 final.

The Ducks saw seven different goal scores, while Nick Schneider (1G, 2A) and Meyer (1G, 1A) were credited with multiple points in the victory.

Ahmed (1G, 1A) and Downey (1G, 1A) each had a pair of points in the SFHS effort.
