Oakland gets it going with 7-1 opener.

FOXBORO – The Oakland Grizzlies crossed the country to come to the 2023 Jr. Chowder Cup and have wasted little time through their opening contest. They hung a 7-1 victory on Suda Hockey Thursday evening in 2007 Elite division play at the Foxboro Sports Center.

All of the game’s scoring action came in the first half. Oakland jumped out early. It was 3-0 before Suda got on the board with a Brett Kazmerski goal.

It was a goal that did not spur a comeback, but further insighted the Oakland offense to put away four more and close out the half’s and the contest’s score at 7-1.

Zander Holsinger led the charge on the backend, posting the shutout in the Oakland net.

Jaxson Andrews led the charge on the frontend, credited with three points in the contest (1G, 2A).
