Minuteman Flames double up Team Quebec, 4-2.

ROCKLAND – The Minuteman Flames opened their 2010 Elite preliminary round schedule at the 2023 Mini Chowder Cup with a pair of wins on Friday. Their second came as they doubled up Team Quebec 4-2 at Lovel Arena.

Any sort of distance on the scoreboard was at a premium throughout the contest. The Flames closed the first half with just a 1-0 advantage courtesy of an Owen Frick goal.

Quebec was on the board first in the second, a Mathis Khoury goal bringing things to an even 1-1. The tie, however, was short lived as Robert DeKliene and Austin Wu each scored to put the Flames back in the lead and give them just a little breathing room.

With time wearing thin, Gabriel Sorgini scored for Quebec to get the deficit back to one, but just as he opened the scoring, Frick closed it out to reestablish the Flames two-goal advantage and seal the 4-2 victory.
