WALPOLE – The final day of pool play at the 2016 Chowder Cup is underway, Boston Generals Prep starting off the day’s schedule at Rodman Arena with an 8-0 shutout of the New Jersey Bandits.
Remy Parker made his presence known early to the Bandits and eventually often. The Generals forward scored twice just 30-seconds apart in the game’s opening minutes – 3:06 and 3:36 – then completed the natural hat trick at 12:10 to give Prep a 3-0 lead.
Not only did their goals come frequently, but the Boston offense scored in bunches throughout the first half, Parker Schultz extending the lead to 4-0 just 1:02 after Parker’s third score. Liam Guinlivan then made it 5-0 with his goal at 15:28.
And in case their 5-0 advantage was not going to be enough, Prep closed out the game by pumping in three more in the second half. Tyler Lisieski, Quinlivan a second time and Cooper Norton all credited with goals to close out the 8-0 assault.
Parker’s day ended atop the game’s leader board with three goals and two assists for a five-point showing. Schultz and Norton each went for three, with a goal and two assists apiece.
