FOXBORO – As the first day of play at the 2018 Jr. Chowder Cup moved towards its evening schedule, the Future Pro’s ’03 defeated EHG ’03 5-1 on Thursday at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Unfortunately for EHG, their lone bright spot on the score sheet came early. They grabbed the game’s first lead at 4:47 on a goal by Trevor Carmen. From that point on, the game was in Future Pro’s favor.
Eli Georgievski drew his side back to even with a goal at 13:47 of the opening half. Conor Foley gave Future Pro’s the lead just three minutes later. Ayden Finn then advanced it to a 3-1 lead that was carried into the break at 20:47.
Future Pro’s were back at it quickly once they returned to the ice from the half, Christos Chronis extending the lead to three-goals at 3:03. Nathan Raymer then capped the game’s scoring at the 11-minute mark of the second half. All five Future Pro’s goals came from a different skater.
Justin Legault led all scorers in the contest as its only multipoint getter, credited with two assists. Dawson Rowe backstopped the win for the victors.
