Shjon Podein, University of Minnesota Duluth Division 1 player with 13 years playing in the NHL with the following teams: Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, St.Louis Blues, and the Colorado Avalanche (Stanley Cup winner with Colorado 2000-2001), and recipient of the King Clancy Memorial Trophy in 2001 will join the Florida Eels in the International Pre-Draft Showcase and the Senior Chowder Cup.
This is very exciting news and Frank Scarpaci and Henry Martinez are thirlled to have him as part of our coaching staff. Shjon has already started to work with the Eels MJHL and SEJHL players. With Shjon’s defensive knowledge we will see enormous improvement in the Eels players!!
