BEDFORD – Boston Blues Hockey Gold moved their 2016 Chowder Cup record to 2-0-0 on Friday morning at the Edge Sports Center in Bedford. A second half push in the closing minutes putting them over FCA Hockey, 5-2, in Jr. A Division play.
A goal early in the first from Dennis Achinazi gave the Blue a 1-0 lead. A lead that lasted through the first and into the second when an early FCA goal – from Kevin Fellows at 3:06 – brought the game back to even.
Once more that routine would happen, the Blues taking a one goal lead, FCA coming back to tie, but as the game clock hit 5:00 remaining, still tied 2-2, the Boston offense took off to put the game away.
Mike Bibby’s goal at 20:00 of the second half gave the Blues a 3-2 from which the never looked back, Seth Murray coming through for a pair of scores late to close out the game at 5-2.
Achinazi and Murray led the game in scoring with two-goal apiece.
