Reider starts Saturday with 6-1 win.

ATTLEBORO – Reider Hockey got the final preliminary day of the 2023 Jr. Chowder Cup going with a 6-1 win on Saturday morning. They defeated Roc City Elite (Black) in 2007 division play at the New England Sports Village.

It got going in the first for Reider as they stormed out to a 3-0 lead through the game’s opening session. Luca Didio, Drew Mayne and Trevor Jensen each credited with a goal.

Roc City got on the scoreboard in the second, courtesy of an Alexei Spence goal, but Reider was not slowing down. They had three more goals to score in the game – two coming from Tyler Mayne – to close out their 6-1 victory.

Those two second half goals were the second two of Tyler Mayne’s game-high four points (2G, 2A). Didio also had two assists to go with his goal from the first for a three-point showing.

It was the third straight win of the tournament posted by Reider goaltender Bennett Lisi.
