Foxborough, Mass. — Warrior Prep Hockey Club broke open a tight game with four second-period goals to earn a 5-2 victory over Between The Bucket White on Thursday in Senior Chowder Cup play.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Between The Bucket White struck first when Liam Dietz (#20) opened the scoring at 6:16 of the first period off an assist from Declan Black (#36). Warrior Prep Hockey Club answered later in the frame as Chase Brown (#19) evened the score with help from Tim McGolgan (#2) before Justin Saban (#88) restored Between The Bucket White’s lead with just seven seconds remaining in the period.
Warrior Prep Hockey Club wasted little time responding after intermission. Brody MacMaster (#3) tied the game just 4:10 into the second period off assists from Kevin Androlio (#13) and David Vater (#14). Jake Cuhna (#18) then gave Warrior Prep Hockey Club its first lead of the afternoon before Will Sheehan (#5) stretched the advantage to 4-2. Cuhna (#18) added his second goal of the game in the closing minutes, finishing off a feed from Henry Waddle (#10) to cap the scoring.
Between The Bucket White continued to battle throughout the second period, but Warrior Prep Hockey Club limited its opportunities the rest of the way to close out the 5-2 victory.
