Townshend ’05 starts Saturday with a win.

CANTON – Townshend Hockey ’05 started off their second day of play at the 2018 Mini Chowder Cup the right way. They netted their first win of the tournament as they defeated Parisi Hockey 3-1 at the Canton Ice House.

It was the day and the game Townshend started off right. They wasted little time in putting away their first goal, Cole LeBlamc tucking one away just 57-seconds after the game’s opening face-off. LeBlamc’s was the lone score of the half, Townshend taking a 1-0 lead into the break.

They started quickly in the second half as well, Brian Xi doubling Townshend’s scoreboard advantage with his goal at 2:04 of the second half. Parisi halved their deficit back to 2-1 on a Patrick Murphy goal at 11:32, but the Townshend offense came right back with the dagger.

James Willett put Townshend back up by two less than 20-seconds later. His goal at 11:51 of the second half finalizing the game at 3-1.

Sean Velozo started and then Cameron Wierl came on in the second half to close the door on the win from the Townshend net.
