CANTON – Each with a dominant half, Top Shelf and the Boston Jr. Blues played to a 3-3 draw on Saturday afternoon at the Canton Ice House as the two sides closed out their preliminary round schedules at the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup.
Top Shelf’s offense took center stage in the first as they ran themselves out to a 3-0 lead in the opening 25 minutes. Owen Schwarz, Stefano Pietrantonio and a shorty from Luke Gurkan accounted for the scoring.
Boston rallied in the second, taking their turn to net three in a period while keeping their opponent off the scoreboard. CJ Watroba, Mike Munroe and Owen Carter did the scoring to draw the Blues back to even at the game’s 3-3 final.
