FOXBORO – New England Pro-Am Hockey’s Senior Chowder Cup is underway. The first game listed on the tournament’s 2019 docket was a Thursday tilt at the Foxboro Sports Center that ended as an 8-4 victory in favor of Canada West over the Mass Edge 67’s in Jr. A Division play.
Canada West came in strong to announce their presence with authority. They reeled off seven straight goals before the first half came to a close. A Mass Edge goal with 30 seconds left in the first stemmed the tide and they did outscore Canada West 3-1 in the second, but there was never enough to mount a rally as the contest ended 7-4.
Evan Pringle (2G), Noe Perez (1G, 1A) and Charles Massey (1G, 1A) were all credited with multiple points in the contest, while C-O LePage was credited with the win in net for Canada West.
