BRIDGEWATER – Needing a win to maintain hopes of advancing to the tournament’s playoff round and a chance at defending their Midget Fall Classic U16 division title, the Boston Jr. Terriers did what was needed Sunday morning. They dispatched the Providence Capitals 4-0 at Bridgewater Ice Arena.
It did not take long for Boston to put themselves on the path to victory, defenseman Patrick Donahue coming up with the score just 4:02 in to make it 1-0. That was, however, all the scoring to be had in the game’s opening 25:00.
The Terriers won the first half, but then did even more damage in the second. Three times they got on the board in the frame, Donahue once again starting the scoring. His second of the game, fourth of the tournament, coming at 5:01 of the second period.
Ryan Boyajian at 17:22 and Ryan Pomposelli at 18:25 rounded out the Terriers’ assault and brought the score to its final.
