Teddies double up CHE, 4-2.

FOXBORO – Saving their best for last, the Jr. Teddies racked up the win in their final preliminary round game at the 2022 Jr. Chowder Cup. They defeated CHE 4-2 at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The first half made the difference in the contest, Teddies scoring twice in the frame for a 2-0 halftime lead. Hunter Haas and Grant LaGreca (on the power play) with the goals.

CHE struck first in the second, Johnny Li cutting the deficit to 2-1. Though CHE was finally in the scoring column, Teddies kept their distance, responding to each of the CHE goals with one of their own. Brody Matthews brought it back to a two-goal lead after Li’s strike. A power play goal by Mason Demastja made it 3-2, but was answered by a Blake Platz goal that closed out the 4-2 victory.

Platz and Matthews each had an assist to go with their goals, finishing as the game’s only multipoint scorers. Freddy Jackson secured the win in the Teddies’ net.
