FOXBORO – Day 2 of the 2024 Women’s Chowder Cup got underway on Saturday morning. One of the early contests of the day featuring a 1-0 shutout victory for WC Swans Black ’09 over Tier 1 Girls Futures in the U16 division.
Defense and goaltending highlighted the contest as there were few entries to be made onto the game’s scoresheet. Netminder Eliana Driscoll locked things down for the Swans, while counterpart Chloe Kim guarded the net for Tier 1.
There was just one blemish to be had on the record of both goaltenders. A Liz Rudge goal late in the first all that separated the two side in the Swans victory.
