Foxboro, Mass. — South Shore Kings 2012 Elite scored three first-period goals and never looked back, defeating NorthStar Elite Black 2012 Elite 4-0 on Friday morning at Foxboro Rink 1 in Mini Chowder Cup action.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
South Shore Kings 2012 Elite struck first at 4:34 of the opening period when Bradley Beausoleil opened the scoring off assists from Michael Bowolick and Callen Nelson, giving the Kings an early 1-0 advantage.
The Kings doubled their lead later in the period. At 13:20, Bowolick found the back of the net with Andrew Keigan picking up the assist to make it 2-0.
South Shore Kings 2012 Elite continued to build momentum late in the first period. Beausoleil scored his second goal of the game at 18:20, finishing a play set up by Nelson to extend the lead to 3-0 heading into the second period.
The Kings wasted little time adding to their advantage after the intermission. Just 25 seconds into the second period, Logan Andreotta scored off an assist from William McConnell, stretching the lead to 4-0.
NorthStar Elite Black 2012 Elite continued to battle throughout the remainder of the contest, but the South Shore Kings defense held firm to preserve the shutout and secure the 4-0 victory.
