FOXBORO – Their first entry into the 2021 Mini Chowder Cup goes down as a win as RAD Elite ’08 defeated NorthStar Elite ’08 2-1 on Friday at the Foxboro Sports Center.
The two sides played to a 0-0 draw through the opening half. Out of the gate, RAD came out strong, netting the early 1-0 lead on a Jaxon Williams goal at 1:05. A lead that was upped to 2-0 on an Austin Brock goal at 6:37.
Calvin Wood made it 2-1 late on a goal at 18:21, but that was as close as any rally came as Joseph Skidmore shut the door from the RAD net to preserve the victory.
