Perfect prelims for OG.

FOXBORO – As the preliminary round of New England Pro Am Hockey’s 2024 Women’s Chowder Cup draws to its conclusion, the stage is being set for an intense Championship Sunday. Amongst the top contender in the U19 division is the OG Selects, who finished the preliminary round a perfect 3-0-0 after defeating the Cape Cod Kraken 5-0 on Saturday evening at the Foxboro Sports Center.

The OG offense continued to shine in the contest. After a scoreless first period, the goals started going in in the second with a pair and then three in the third for the winning effort. The squad has averaged 4.6 goals per game.

Sarah Hensel led the way against the Kraken, credited with two goals and an assist. Hansel finished the opening round of the tournament with six goals in three games.

While the OG offense has been stellar, the OG defense has perhaps been more impressive. Not only was this the third win, but the third shutout of the tournament for OG netminder Carolyn Bourgeault.
