O’Connell, NEPAHL congratulate Roenick on Hall of Fame entry

Mike O’Connell and the New England Pro-Am Hockey League congratulate alumnus Jeremy Roenick on being named to the Hockey Hall-of-Fame’s Class of 2024.

The New England Pro-Am Hockey Alumni was selected eighth overall pick in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, the Thayer Academy product played in 1,363 NHL games across 20 seasons. During that time Roenick scored 513 goals and assisted on an additional 703. Those 1,216 points are the fourth most in NHL history for an American-born player.

He also helped Team USA earn a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

Joining Roenick in the Hall’s 2024 induction class are players Natalie Darwitz, Krissy Wendell-Pohl, Pavel Datsyuk and Shea Weber, as well as Colin Campbell and David Poile, who enter in the builder category.
