Foxboro, Mass. — North American Elite 16U earned a 2-1 victory over Hallzy Films Blue on Friday afternoon. In a game that remained close throughout, North American Elite 16U built an early lead, weathered a quick response from Hallzy Films Blue early in the second period, and regained the lead later in the period to secure the win.

North American Elite 16U opened the scoring at the 4:45 mark of the first period when Liv Esposito found the back of the net to give her team a 1-0 lead. Kayla O’Connor picked up the assist on the play.
That advantage held through the remainder of the opening period before Hallzy Films Blue responded immediately after intermission. Just one second into the second period, Erin Ingersoll scored the equalizer to tie the game at 1-1, with Gianna Puccio earning the assist.
The teams remained deadlocked until the 8:31 mark of the second period when Aleesa Coskren scored what proved to be the game-winning goal, restoring North American Elite 16U’s lead. O’Connor was credited with her second assist of the contest on the play.
Hallzy Films Blue continued to push for another equalizer, but North American Elite 16U held on through the final minutes to secure the 2-1 victory.
